We take data security very seriously. All payment requests and payment messages sent through our network are always encrypted.  In addition we ensure all data stored locally on your device is encrypted, and we allow you to protect your BOPP account with PIN.

One of the reasons why our system is so good from a security point of view is that only bank-verified details derived directly from a bank can be used. To load these details into our network the account owner must 'authorise' BOPP to retrieve these details.

This means the recipient of any bopp paylink, once the user click on it to 'pay' the user will always see the real bank account name they are about to pay.

Even if your clients email system was interrupted by internet threats, or their invoicing system, if the perpetrators attached their own bopp paylink then the payer would see the wrong bank account name.

As a rule of thumb BOPP is much more secure than cards.
